Canada Water station

As part of a large Masterplan for this area of South East London, the upgrade of the local transport infrastructure was integral to the whole scheme.

Project Introduction

For the refurbishment of the Bus Terminus situated at the Canada Water Tube & Rail Station, Transport for London wanted to create a striking visual experience for passengers using this busy hub.

In partnership with installer Paneltec Services Ltd, AMS developed a framing system to carry and accentuate the glazing elements that form the street level canopy and overhead service & plant space.

Both elements were of a bespoke design developed by TfL and Paneltec, with the service structure created in the form of a rhomboid.

Although the metal elements provided by AMS were not large in quantity, the nature of some of the sections provided certain fabrication challenges, which our expert team were able to meet.
