Envelope contractor Wallis Sheppard have tasked AMS with realizing the design intent for a small new build office development in Cambridge.
The CGI image of the completed project looks straightforward enough but the reality is a complicated, multifaceted arrangement that is far from straightforward.
The interface of the Window Pods which AMS are producing requires expert surveying and draughtsman skills to enable fabrication of an on the face of it, simple element.
Wallis Sheppard Project Manager John Wood said, “when you first look through the drawings the window liner works seem relatively standard. But once the structure is built and with the hanging tiles, windows and roof finishes in place, the design becomes extremely complicated. With AMS’s expertise we had the assurance that these difficult interfaces could be surveyed, drawn, and manufactured and ultimately the original design concept achieved.”
